Singapore Chung Hwa Medical Institution Board of Directors consists of 12 directors, including the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Honorary Secretary, and Finance Director. Each term of service lasts three years, and except for the Finance Director position, all other positions can be re-elected, however, the Chairman shall not serve more than three consecutive terms. All Directors are volunteers, and do not receive any remuneration. The Board is an independent entity, completely separate from the salaried executive management and salaried employees cannot become board members.
